Brady Keeper signs 2-year deal with Vancouver

Brady Keeper has agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth an AAV of $762,500. The 6'2", 197-pound defenceman was born in Cross Lake, MB, and was the first person from the Pimicikamak Cree Nation to play an NHL game. Keeper was an undrafted free agent signing by the Florida Panthers on March 18, 2019. Ten days later he made his NHL debut against the Ottawa Senators.

Last season Keeper played in 11 games for the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, recording 3 points (2-1-3) and 12 penalty minutes. He also played in his second NHL regular season game on April 8 versus Carolina.

Keeper completed his first professional season during the pandemic interrupted 2019-20 season. He played in 61 games for AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds scoring 18 points (six goals, 12 assists). Keeper also made his post-season debut in a Stanley Cup Qualifier game for the Panthers on Aug. 4, 2020 against the New York Islanders.
