The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Givani Smith to a two-year, $1.6-million deal, the club announced Saturday.
"Givani is a big, physical winger with high energy and we are excited to add him to our group for next season," said Sharks general manager Mike Grier, per a team release.
The 25-year-old split the 2022-23 season between Detroit and Florida, collecting four points in 36 games for the two clubs.
He spent three years with the Red Wings prior to this past season, as well, after the club tabbed him with a second-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Over 119 career NHL games, Smith has posted eight goals and 18 points.
