BEN NEWHOUSE

Prior to joining O2K, Newhouse enjoyed a successful playing career as a defender.  As a 2015 graduate of Benilde-St. Margaret's in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Newhouse was a two-year captain and an active member in the school orchestra while playing the cello.  His career at Benilde-St. Margaret/'s was highlighted by winning the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament in 2012. 

Following high school, Newhouse played for legendary coach PK O'Handley and the Waterloo Black Hawks before embarking on a college career that included stops at Union College and Northern Michigan.  While a member of the Union College and Northern Michigan teams, Newhouse played in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, was a two-year captain at Northern Michigan and was the CCHA Student-Athlete of the Year for 2021/22.  Newhouse's playing career wrapped up during the 2022/23 season while a member of HC Pustertal in the ICEHL.

Newhouse graduated from Northern Michigan University with a BS and MS in Mathematics as well as passing Exam P and Exam FM administered by the Society of Actuaries..
